Healthy Trees Don’t Happen by Accident
When you look at the trees on your property, it can be easy to take them for granted. But the right care, guided by the right expertise, can make all the difference between a landscape asset and a potential hazard. That’s the philosophy at the heart of TreeSouth, LLC.
Our ISA, Certified Arborists bring a depth of knowledge that goes well beyond a chainsaw and a truck. They have years of experience and knowledge to support their credentials along with the skills to properly care for and diagnose trees. Our ISA, Certified Arborists can diagnose any health issues or concerns you may have about your tree and offer treatment or come up with a plan that is best for you.
To become ISA certified, individuals must follow at least three years of practical experience and pass a contemporary practice in tree care examination.
ISA Certified Arborists have knowledge and experience in long-term tree health and management. They can diagnose the health issue of a tree and offer treatment; they are knowledgeable in pest management and are specialists at maintaining tree vitality while helping provide vigor for trees in the long term.
Family-Owned Arborists Rooted in Seneca, SC
The TreeSouth team is led by owner Karl Pokorny, ISA Certified Arborist who has had an interest in trees and their care since he was 14. His career in caring for trees began by working for his father's tree-care company on weekends and throughout summer as a teenager.
The founding principle of TreeSouth has not changed over the past 20 years. As Karl recently stated in an interview: “We are in the business of helping people and we just happen to do tree work. They extend the principle of being helpful to their employees and the communities in which they live and work. Karl had seen that principal at work in his father’s tree care business in east central Indiana, but swore off tree work in favor of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. However, upon leaving the Marines, Karl found himself back in the tree care industry, earning his ISA and serving as president of ISA’s Southern Chapter Board.
Karl met his wife Rebecca at Clemson University where Rebecca also earned a master's degree in plant and environmental science. TreeSouth was founded when the Pokorny’s purchased the assets of William’s Tree Care, where Karl had worked while earning a B.S. in Forest Resource Management at Clemson University and changed the name to TreeSouth, LLC.
We’ve Remained Small by Design
Over the past 20 years, the Pokorny's have refused many offers from larger companies wanting to purchase or partner with TreeSouth, preferring to keep it a small, family-owned and operated business.
Uncompromising Safety, OSHA Compliance, and Professional Care
Knowing that your tree care is under the supervision of certified and insured professionals and that their team is experienced and safety compliant means you can relax knowing your trees are under proper care and you are protected as the homeowner while they are working on your property. TreeSouth is fully insured, including liability and worker compensation coverage.
Honest Tree Care
If the health of your trees is important to you, our team of professional arborists at TreeSouth can help you improve their health and their lifespan. This includes preventative maintenance such as pruning dead branches and looking for unhealthy signs such as insect infestations, fungal infections, or root rot. If you have concerns about any of your trees, or just their overall well-being, TreeSouth, LLC is happy to meet with you to assess your trees and give recommendations. We specialize in honest tree care and pride ourselves in only recommending services when necessary. We offer proper soil maintenance and tree fertilization which are vital to the vigor and lifespan of all trees.
